Congratulations to Youthrive’s Brisbane clinic which is celebrating their second birthday this month!
Youthrive opened its doors in Brisbane at its North Lakes clinic on 16 March 2015, following the ongoing success of its integrated therapy services model combining psychology, speech pathology and occupational therapy within the one clinic on the Gold Coast.
This multi-disciplinary approach has allowed therapists to work together to assess key developmental social, emotional, speech, language, problem solving and motor-functioning challenges to develop an integrated plan tailored to meet each individual’s needs.
Youthrive’s North Lakes clinic is headed up by Speech Pathologist, Amy McAlister, who moved from the Robina clinic to expand Youthrive’s integrated therapy services model into Brisbane.
“Our Brisbane team of therapy professionals has enjoyed working with numerous families, educators and health professionals in the North Brisbane and Moreton Bay region in our first two years and we are looking forward to extending that reach throughout Brisbane,” Amy said.
“Throughout the past year, we have been providing support via a range of service delivery models including integrated therapy services here in our North Lakes clinic and in children’s homes, while also working with children alongside teachers and childcare professionals through centre and school visits.
“The Youthrive team is highly skilled with a genuine passion for child development – everything we do is designed to help equip kids with the skills they need to thrive.
“We pride ourselves on ensuring that every session is a positive experience that encourages learning, growth and participation.” Amy said.
Youthrive is a registered provider for Medicare (with a referral from a GP) and some private health funds (with or without a referral).
Patients may also be eligible for rebates through a range of government and other funding support which may assist with therapy costs. This support is available for people with some diagnosed conditions, including Autism, and Youthrive is also an approved FoHCSIA provider under the ‘Helping Children with Autism’ and ‘Better Start for Children with Disabilities’ initiatives.
