Awesome Adventurers – Level 1

A semi-structured small group program focusing on emotional regulation and social skill development. Level 1 of the program introduces the Zones of Regulation Framework and starts to explore conversation and social skills in a play-based fun environment.

Workshop Details

Overview

Suitable for children aged 5 – 9 years.  The group uses arts and crafts, creative therapies, puppet role play, social modelling videos, lego and other play to teach concepts.

Suitable for children aged 5 – 9 years.

Schedule

Wednesday afternoons at 3.30 – 4.30pm.

Week 1: 26/04/23 – Getting to know each other

Week 2: 03/05/23 - Recognising emotions in others

Week 3: 10/05/23 - Recognising emotions in ourselves and introducing ‘ways to calm’

Week 4: 17/05/23 - Ways to calm our body and mind

Week 5: 24/05/23 - Emotion and social skills

Week 6: 31/05/23 - Conversation skills and social skills

Week 7: 07/06/23 - Play skills

In person delivery only. Program will only run if there are the required number of participants. Additional dates for Term 4 are expected to be released later in the year.
