Portia is an Occupational Therapist and our Team Leader in Springfield. She holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and a Masters in Advanced Occupational Therapy. Portia is also a practicing member of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

From a young age I always knew I wanted to work with children. Through the years, my fascination for the way the brain and body worked led me to my passion of using this knowledge to help children and their families make life more meaningful.”

Portia is particularly passionate about helping families to further understand and engage with their children and support them in becoming confident and independent individuals. Using occupations that are meaningful and purposeful, Portia is able to support children to engage in daily life with more confidence, independence and fun.


Portia has worked as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist for over six years and brings with her a range of experience in both community and clinic environments. Portia works with children with a range of presenting diagnosis including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), intellectual impairment, global developmental delay and Downs Syndrome. She has experience working with children and their families on feeding, toileting, sensory processing, self-regulation, fine motor, gross motor, social skills, play skills and independence in self-care.

Portia has completed training courses that allow her to deliver: DIR Floortime, The Secret Agent Society (SAS) program, PEERS Social Skills for Adolescents, SOS Approach to Feeding, Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance (CO-OP) intervention, Occupational Performance Coaching (OPC).
