Biography
Joanna wanted to become a psychologist because she is passionate about helping people reach their potential.
She is particularly interested in working with children and families as well as working with children impacted by trauma and child development.
“I am passionate about being able to work creatively and collaboratively with children and families to find an approach and intervention to suit each individual. Helping to open up channels of communication between family members in order to express and respond to needs and identifying and working alongside the unique strengths within each family in order to help their progression towards goals.”
Qualification
Bachelor of Behavioural Science
Joanna holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Masters of Psychology (Counselling).
Experience
She has completed numerous training courses including 1,2,3 Magic Parenting, Triple P Parenting (Group and Individual), Bringing Up Great Kids, Parenting Made Easier, ASIST Suicide Prevention, Solution Focused Therapy, Neurobiology of Trauma and Mindsight and Neural Integration.
