Our unique and integrated therapy model means our speech pathologists, occupational therapists and psychologists work together to provide children and young people a cohesive, wrap-around service, that addresses and supports cognitive, behavioural and emotional difficulties being faced.

As a social enterprise aligned to Act for Kids, our services at Youthrive generate income to fund the delivery of free therapeutic and support programs to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect in Australia.

About the role…

We are expanding and due to continued growth and demand we are seeking an experienced Occupation Therapist to join us at either our Everton Hills or North Lakes Clinic.

The position is available as either permanent part-time or full-time.


  • Deliver appropriate individualised therapy services to support young people to enhance independence in their daily occupational performance through family centred and occupation focused practice.
  • Conduct assessments (e.g. sensory, visual motor integration, developmental), analyse results and report on findings for children and young people aged 0 – 18 years.
  • Demonstrate evidence based practice in the delivery of quality individual and group therapy programs for clients and families.
  • Working with the young person and their family continually refine goals and modify intervention to meet the needs of the individual.
  • Review therapeutic progress to determine the effectiveness of the intervention and measure outcomes.
  • Achieve billable key performance indicators relevant to discipline and role.

About you…

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA.
  • Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Immediate eligibility as a Medicare provider.
  • At least two years’ experience working with children and young people with complex needs, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays and disability.
  • Experience providing assessment and therapy to children and young people.
  • Well-developed communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

About our remuneration and benefits…

  • This position is classified level 2 under the Health Practitioner Support Services Award.
  • Above award salary range is between $83,561 – $91,439 pa plus 9.5% superannuation (pro-rata for part-time)
